About Me

I'm Dr. Mark McMinn, a psychologist in Oregon specializing in treating adults facing depression, anxiety, life transitions, and grief. I completed my PhD at Vanderbilt University, then an internship in Medical Psychology at Oregon Health & Science University, and have been licensed as a psychologist since 1985* and board certified since 1995.

How Does it Work?

Psychotherapy involves us exploring your story together: past, present, and future. You will gain understanding and compassion for yourself, and likely for others, too. Sometimes we consider skills and strategies for moving forward, and sometimes we sit patiently to see what insights emerge from the story.

Fees

If you are covered through Aetna, Blue Cross, Cigna, Clover, Medicare, Moda, Optum/United Healthcare, PacificSource, Providence, or Regence, I can bill your insurance directly. Otherwise, I provide you with a super bill so you can request reimbursement at out-of-network rates from your insurance carrier.

Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Telehealth

I'm semi-retired, so have a limited practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Because I work from my home, I only offer telehealth sessions at this time. It's not for everyone, but I find it an effective way to offer psychotherapy, and my clients find it convenient to meet in the comfort of their homes or offices.

Relationships

Though I don't offer couples or family therapy, each one of us is deeply influenced by our relationships, past and present. Our work together will almost certainly consider the formative and transformative nature of relationships in your life.

Moving Forward

Contact me if you're living in Oregon and looking for a psychologist to help you move forward. If I have room in my schedule, I'm happy to offer a brief phone consultation to consider your options. I'll respond to your email either way, even if I'm not accepting new clients.
